Ask these five crucial questions before hiring any Realtor

1. Tell me about your experience as a buyers’ agent specializing in Bethesda and Potomac.

Potomac and Bethesda are much more than where I work. Both communities have been my home for 30+ years. I raised my children, not-to-mention my beloved dog, Tucker, here. I’ve remained friends with many of my past buyers who are like a personal network of neighborhood news, and homebuying opportunities. I can practically tell you the market value of the homes in most neighborhoods before even studying the comparables. And being a “certified” buyers’ agent has benefitted my clients, assuring them of knowledgeable, well-informed representation

2. Can you really find me homes not listed online?

Compass has truly changed the marketplace. We have our own platform that lets my buyers create custom “Collections”, so you receive listings tailored to your specific needs directly in your inbox. We also have “Private Exclusives” – homes you can see before they hit the public market – giving you early access to opportunities most buyers miss.

3. How do you negotiate the best deal for your buyers?

Experience is key. With a buyers’ agent background spanning 30+ years exclusively in this area, I know the true value of our Potomac and Bethesda neighborhoods. I know what it takes to work effectively with other agents and how to position my buyers for success. Partnering with the industry- leading resources of Compass and the Galanti Group’s integrated team support gives me powerful tools other agents just can’t match.

4. What’s your strategy when there are multiple offers on a home?

Multiple offers require market knowledge, speed, and relationships. I’ll guide you in drafting an offer that is competitive, not just in price, but in terms and conditions. Sometimes the terms are as important as the price (fg: contingent vs non-contingent contracts; financing vs. an all-cash offer, etc). My personal relationships with top listing agents forged over years of presenting to each other allows me to provide valuable insights that help me stand out. And with the advantages and support of the Compass platform, I can move quickly and strategically to put you in the best possible position.

5. Why would you be the perfect buyer agent for me?

I handle all the details so you can focus on the big picture. I’ll explain every step in plain language, keep you ahead of deadlines, and negotiate solutions if any issues arise. Our team follows a step-by-step procedure, and provides our own Galanti Group Buyer Guide, which walks you through the process from our initial meeting to your closing date. You’ll also be on the Compass platform (see Collections), which allows you to have constant contact with myself and our dedicated closing coordinator. Simply, my goal is to make the process as smooth and stress-free as possible.

  • When I was moving from China to the DC area in 2008, I had very limited time to find a home and handle all the related details. Kris was a Godsend: she not only helped me find just what I needed, she coordinated everything up to and including closing while I was still out of the country. I’m now retired and starting the process of downsizing, and wouldn’t consider anyone other than Kris to guide me through it. I'm in the hands of the best.

  • Kris Feldman of Galanti Group is the best in the business. She guided us through four home transactions and with each transaction, she reiterated to us that she is professional, flexible, knowledgeable and reliable. After working with Kris since 2011, she is family to us. We have never heard of a real estate agent who says “This is not your house.” She knew exactly what we were looking for and took the risk of zero commission to make sure we found our dream home. We are so happy in our new home and we are extremely lucky that Kris Feldman has been our real estate agent these last 11 years.

  • Kris Feldman is simply a gem. I feel that she is truly interested in our happiness. She listens and asks great questions that focus on what it is you really want and need. She does this without pressuring you, allowing you to make decisions on your timeline, not hers. We highly recommend Kris!

  • Kris' knowledge of the DC market, along with her strong people skills, make her a perfect candidate for any real estate transaction. Her skill at all facets of the purchase or sale of a property is off the charts. She will make a deal happen, no matter what it takes; and she does this with the upmost professionalism. We have used Kris for home purchases, home sales, lot purchases, and new home sales - in all these transactions, she has represented us in a most successful manner. Item

  • Kris helped us get our dream house after a long search and in a very competitive bidding situation. She always had good ideas and was on top of the market. If we ever move again, we would only use Kris.

  • Kris has helped me sell two homes over the past several years. She is extremely knowledgeable of the Washington, DC area and I will not sell or buy another house without her! She has great ideas for sale and of course knowledge on everything you would need to buy a house-like schools, traffic, etc. I can't recommend Kris enough for buying or selling a home.
